Hey there, planning my first FHL hunt this weekend. Do the camp grounds have tables ?? would it be a good idea to take fire wood or can we find some dead branches there. Thanks

some of the camps have tables and some stone fire pits that people have throwan together. If I remember there is running water at some of the camp sites. The site are under some trees and some are in the open area. It primitive camping at best.

Bring your own wood, and a water jug. Sometimes in the winter, the water spigots freeze. There's one spigot for about 5 campgrounds. Most have a table. The bathroom is horrible and I think they have a few porta-johns near the game office.

It's not the greatest campground for services.

I'll be going down there for my first time on the 23, should i call ahead to reserve a camp site? Do they take reservations? And do they take only cash?

Not sure about cash only, but id have cash for everything you need, including FHL hunting permit if your picking it up without sending the app via mail. Cash ONLY for the permit if your not using the USPS. I dont think you can reserve spots, first come thing.

For the permit it is by money order only for the exact amount, they do not except cash for the permit.

Does anyone know if you can bring a trailer into camp? Do they have sites large enough to park a 26 footer?
