FHL Elk hunt

Ok guys, truck is all packed up and ready to go. I've been going through all the information I have received from a few guys here, checking google earth, I think I'm pretty set just have to see what areas will be open. Weather looks pretty bad for this weekend, can only hope for clear skies on Sunday.

I'm heading out around 8:00am, gonna check in the Gibb Hall and wait for my support crew to show up.

Good luck. Remember, the southeast end of river road, about 400 yds from the TA 25 boundry. About 45-60 minutes before last shot, they'll be about 20 bulls there, waiting to cross into the no hunting zone. Keep in touch.

Area 22 isn't open :-( but almost all other areas are. We seen a bull today that was a toad in 13A. We are going to hit 13E, and go from there. Reports will be coming in about mid day......stay tuned.

Ok, back at the room for a dry change of clothes then back out. We hunted almost the entire area of 13E, didn't see any elk but did see about 6 hogs. 2 bulls were brought in from 24 & 25, both nice. We are going to try 25 this evening hopeing to catch something coming over from 22.

Ok so the day ended with 5 bulls brought in, all of them were real nice. We seen 7 bulls in 25, no shots taken. We may head back there in the morning. 3 bulls were taken out if 25 so far.

We're back in from 25, fog and rain all morning. Roads are bad unless you stay on the gravel base rds. Heard shots from 24, but that's it. Seen 4 bulls cross in front of us coming from 25 going into 22. We're going to check out 24 and maybe go all the way through to 15.

Ok, we're back at the room and soaking wet! But, good news is we have a bull down! Not as big as I was hoping for but couldn't resist.
