Hey I saw they announced the areas that will be open.

Does anyone know if thats ALL the areas that will be open? I mean, they left out 15, 16, 22, 25 and a few other choice elk areas.

Good luck should a good hunt I harvedted 2 cow elk there 1 w/rifle and the other w/Archery gear. Dont try to hunt the herd find some loaner cow or smaller herds.

I'll be in the campground Tuesday night and Wed night. The guy i'm hunting with has a trailer with a generator, so we'll be warm enough. I'll be heading up to Salinas Thursday morning after the hunt for Turkey and family, then heading back to FHL that evening if we don't have the elk done. So could be there through the weekend.

I'm sure i'll see all the regulars. I'm hoping we get the elk done early because I want to do some pig and quail hunting on Friday/Saturday.

Guys i'am confuse! I look at the FHL web and they are saying the hunt start thursday till sunday Nov26 to 29. and what calijeep is saying the orientation meeting on tuesday NOV 24.is it suppose to be the day before the first hunt?(orietation)Nov 25.

We will go with LT dan's DFG letter. orientation 4 pm tuesday, start of hunt the 24th wednesday till the 29 sunday.

I was told the meeting was on the 24th at 4pm with the hunt starting on the 25th. Guess we'll find out tomorrow... better early then late, right?

Came back last night to cook orders for the holiday( wifes order) and will be back to FHL before noon. Dan still have 5 days to go on his hunt,for the meantime,Xao Live2 hunt is helping today:cross fingers:
Hunt hard the whole day yesterday but no joy ohhh boy i have an eye sore caz of glassing .16 hunters with no cow elk the first day.
I let LTDan tell the story when he comes back.
