Did any of you military types get drawn for an Elk tag at FHL? I haven't heard anything about my application yet, just curious if anybody else has.

There is 4 of us from SD that are looking for results. I didn't draw the state one. Hopefully we can get lucky one of the 4.
I know last year someone posted the results on JHO. Let's hope it is sooner than later!

I think I posted them last year. They put them up on the website and I copied it to JHO. I checked the site today and there wasn't anything up yet though, I'm just getting restless!

Hi.

Sorry, not in the military, but I did get drawn for a FHL antlerless tag, archery only for the Oct. 4-8th hunt. I have not had a chance to scout, heading down this weekend.

Any advice or spots anyone has from past elk hunts on FHL would be very helpful...not looking for shortcuts on "doing the work," it's just that (as you know) Elk tags in California are so coveted, I don't want to miss out!

I also drew and either sex archery tag for FHL...I guess it was my year ??!! Any zone recommendations as well?

Thanks!

Last time I was down their was about 2years ago in the late summer to move out some Seabee's during an exercise. On the left hand side of the road driving onto the post from the gate we saw elk everyday. They were all spotted prior to getting to the Landing Zone. Good luck on your hunt!
