So is the game shack still open? How would I get my permit for this season?

Looks like theblaze orange requirement is back:

[h=3]Blaze Orange[/h] Everyone in the hunting areas, both hunters and visitors must wear 100 square inches of visible blaze orange, such as a hat or vest, as required by FHL policy. Camouflage blaze orange is permitted.

They mention hat or vest. Most hats are less than 100 square inches if my calculations are correct. Gotta be 10x10 right? Guess I gotta go find a vest now.

Do exactly as they say, no variations. FHL and Camp Bob got very serious after 09/11/01 and since they do not see hunting or any civilian uses as necessary, it is going to be a crap shoot as to what they want to allow. Do not expect to get any special treatment because you were not prepared nor ready. just be prepared with what they ask for and you should have few problems. And watch your speed they ticket anyone going over the posted 25MPH.

I'm not sure how it happened, but I got pulled over doing 47 in a 35 zone at FHL........... and he let me go!

He did, however, toss the car before letting me go on my way. So - in addition to abiding by the speed limit, make sure your gear is stowed as per regulation because he looked at everything - gun stowage, tags, license....... everything. He was nice and courteous about it, but he was thorough.

Trust me on this, do a few miles UNDER the speed limit on ANY army fort or air base. I've seen more tickets for 1 mile over on army forts than I can remember.
