Hi support420,

They're pulling a 250lb pig out of training area 29 right now. =) The hunters said there were about 12 of them out there.

And Jesse is out here hunting, too! =) He was nice enough to help one of the hunters stuck out in training area 10/13. The weather here is terrible - it's been raining all night and all this morning with no signs of it letting up anytime soon. But we still have a lot of people out here hunting.

Rannie

P.S.
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM ROCHELLE & I at the FHL Game Check Station!

Sure Lurediver... here you go...

Here is the 271lb pig out of TA-29:

This one was taken a few days ago by an Elk Hunter but Rochelle & I weren't told which area it was taken out of. I'll find out tomorrow. =)

Wow Rannie! That's a big pig. That had to be a really tough drag out of 29 to.

I guess i'll post a pic to of Tom's Pig he got during the Elk hunt. It came out of area 15 and dressed out at 171. And my dad was driving him for the elk hunt to. lol He's like some kind of pig magnet. 2 at Vandenburg and then drives our friend to this one. The elk was a 6x6. Can't have much of a better morning then that. Pig first thing and then an elk later on. He was a happy guy.

The picture of the second pig I posted was from TA-15 =) A total of 7 pigs were harvested. They were taken from TA's 15, 24, 10/13, and 29. The weather was so bad and it rained the entire time. We probably had a total of 8 hunters stuck out in training areas.

The towing company made a fortune!

That's a great pic of your dad & Tom! =) They look so happy! I'm glad he got his Elk & a pig! Your dad must be good luck! It was good to see all you guys back at the campgrounds just like in deer season.

I may be mistaken on this one, but "support420" might not be the smartest handle to have on this website in the context of this thread about hunting on a Federal military installation, policed by MP's who require very little probable cause to initiate a vehicle search, especially since there's a picture of what I presume is support420's 4x4 hunting rig in his/her avatar.

When last out at FHL (TA29), a friend went as far back to see some water, I would assume this is Lake San Antonio? Is there a gate or barbed wire fence stating boundaries..If so , anyone know what the approx distance is from the lake ?

No problem. Since you're former law enforcement I'm sure you've seen it all.

Good luck getting those pigs!
