Here is a pic of the boar now hanging on my wall. (I forgot to pull the toothpick.) I kilt this guy back on Dec '05 at Tejon, rifle. SDHNTR spotted this one, and knowing I wanted a big boar, called me over to his position. A hardcore stalk down and up through the abyss got me within 180 yds. I had about a minute of light left, and drilled him. Gnarly recovery, but it was worth it. This came from one of my secret honey holes. I'm stoked with the workmanship. Worth the wait. Enjoy.

Looking good!

I've looked at hundreds if not thousands of pigs through binoculars and this was the first one where you could actually see teeth from 450+ yards away. Most of the time you shoot at a big bodied boar and just hope he has good teeth when you walk up on him. Not on this one. You could judge him just like he were a deer. There was no doubt on this one. Best set of choppers I've ever seen. A great trophy and one I doubt you'll ever top. Glad to be a part of it. So has Barry thanked you for that new truck yet? You've done quite a job of lining his pockets the last couple years.

I like this shot too. Perfect teeth. Not a chip was broken off this pig.

Damn he's ugly, congrats on a monster hog!! The mount looks great too. That is exactly the type of beast I want hanging on my wall too. It would lead to a divorce though until I have a rec room of my own.

Now that's a mount that a guy can be proud to hang. Amazing that he still had his teeth. Probably not much of a fighter, maybe one of those Hollywood Hogs.

Thanks. You're right. I don't think he was fighting in his last year or so. Thus, the perfect teeth. I think he was sick. We had to quarter him out just to get out of the abyss. But, I don't think he would have weighed more than 180 dressed. I pulled two plastic ballistic tips out of his shoulders. Huge pusss balls too resulting in a lot of lost meat. And, the meat was tough as leather. Not good. But, I turned it all into sausage and it was okay. My taxi man said that he had crazy scars on him, and that one day he must have been a scrapper. Now, I'm just a mellow meat hunter.

Very nice...

I really want one of those on the wall, but wifey would throw a rod if that went up in our "Tahoe" room.

Awesome looking boar, love the white on the tips of the hair. BTW, who was your taxi guy? He did a great job.
