That is awesome bro! Huge congrats. There will be no trophy more remembered than your first bow kill. Steven is a good dude, a lot of fun and definitely a great guide.

Hey thanks for the congrats everyone! Still buzzin from the hunt!

One Track: Yeah Steven told me about your poker nights and pig massacre hunts... Sounds like good times! I'm a terrible poker player but maybe if I'm lucky enough to get an invite to one of your hunts I'll let you guys take all my money
<
<

Chiro: Yeah it was my first pig, first big game... I always bring my rifle with me but its just too much fun with the bow, success or not!
<

Huntcrazy: The season's last POR hunt at Tejon on June 20-22nd is going to be Archery only for $300 (north side I think)... I'm trying to work that one out but I'm there for the may JHO slam for sure... Come on bro! There's a big boar up there with your name on it
<

Deedy: Deep fried turkey and BBQ piggy, I'll be eatin' good for a while!
<

Speck: Stickin' with the bow baby, I'm completely hooked

Oh man you gotta go, its beautiful up there, almost 200,000 acres of pig heaven. Guided hog hunts are a bit pricey, $1000, was hard to swallow but to me was money well spent just for the learning experience. These are guaranteed opportunity rifle or bow and they are pretty cool, they will get you a real good opportunity otherwise you get to come back. Full lodging in the nice cabins and they even cook (man can they cook!) for you.

The PORs are a great deal at $450, and there's an archery only one at the end of June for only $300, camping included.

Kudos on the first bow kill. You know it's kinda funny that you mentioned that the pig ran the one place you hope she hadn't... always seems to end up that way. Good job and welcome to the club... "Hooked for Life"

Congrats on the pig! I am still waiting to tag my first one with my bow.

Is this archery hunt a private deal or can we sign up?

Its public... should be pretty open! Check the hunttejon website for Barbara's number, she'll send you the app...

BTW I am sending mine in today :) I'll be there for sure although I'm gonna have to leave by late Saturday night for Sunday obligations. Perhaps, just maybe, I can tag out by then

Hatchet, you don't need a guide at Tejon. Come join us in May (23-25) and see it for yourself!

I haven't decided if I'll do the archery hunt in June, but it should be quite a treat... and for $300, it's almost worth it just to spend the weekend on that ranch! June should be a great time to hunt with stick and string.

speck, thanks for the invite my friend, but i will be in texas hammering exotics that weekend!!
but i must say the 300 buck archery hunt in june sounds abit inviting considering tejon is
45 minutes from my house and ive never stepped foot on the property
<
sounds like its just worth the price of admission, hog or not

Hatchet, TX will be a kick in the pants... but you probably know that already.

That archery hunt at Tejon will definitely be worth the money, especially if you live that close! Heck, it's not like you need to kill another hog anyway...
