Got out a couple hours this morning and pulled out this beautiful set. Very little rodent damage..but there is a little. Scored them on the B&C website using their automated score sheet. I estimated the inside spreads using a mount that I have here of similar size. Net score was 170 4/8 with 19 1/4 inches of total deductions. Puts the gross at about 190 or so...not a bad set. The pics don't do them justice. I took a couple of pics "as they lay" and will post them when they come back. Puts my total for the year at 20 sheds.

Coyotebandit: yes..they were found on public land actually between 2 DEER STANDS. He is one sneaky buck..found the sheds on a island in the thickest crap you can imagine..lol. I only have 1 private property that I shed hunt so all my sheds come from our many hunting areas. You would be surprised what survives the season!

Right on!

Have you been able to wipe the smile off your face yet? Just curious, did that big buck live in the s/e corner here, or did you find him up north?

Yes they were found right next to each other...about 4 feet apart. They were found between Sheboygan and Greenbay..LOL..so yes, southeastern part of the state.

Shed Head,

What a great find. You are killin me when you say ... not a bad set.

Super set of antlers. Did you know the buck was there? Could you attribute any rubs to this monster?

Your pictures are great. This southern boy gets the message when I see mass like those antlers display (mature, wise old buck). A true trophy.

Congratulations.

Shed Head,

Thats a Brute you found there, and to have found a matched set laying together what a reward for all your hard earned efforts. CONGRATS to you...

Its amazing how these animals exist with noone ever knowing or seeing them. there rubs, sheds and maybe a cam pic here and there are all that tell of there existance. and on Public land, Looks to be he found his Sanctuary in that thick stuff you refer to.

Great set of antlers from a magnificant animal. Enjoy them!!!
Thank you for sharing!!!
