yes I staged this photo with a shed, I'm curious to see if you guys can find it lol

I was out for 4 hours today with nothing to show for it except some photos I took for my site. I just don't get it, we see nice bucks all through the fall all over the place, the deer pound the area for food in the winter. Then we find a forkhorn shed or two and that's it, it's enough to make you go insane. We've found maybe 3 sheds over the past 4 years
<
oh well, at least I had fun getting cut up by thorns.
<
I'm on spring break this week so I'll get some more hours in.

I'm half blind and I spotted it in about 5 seconds , hint I believe I see 1 in the lower right quarter of picture . My wife and 17 year old son could not see it even after I pointed it out . Probably why I am the one that spots 99% of the deer we see hunting , useless boy !

Had to put the spotting scope on this one. Using the lap top with a smaller screen

I spotted both sheds before checking second pics. The curve in the antler gave the shed in the field away. And the folked tines the one in the corn stubble.
It was fun seeing my area is covered in snow and more snow is coming.
Here's a pic I posted a couple years ago.How easy can you spot the shed in this pic?lol

Tsmola,
That shed you found looks like it could have came right of your avatar.

not exactly, look closely at my avatar, that buck has a huge six point frame, the pic makes it look kinda small, but it's a large old buck.

It was taken across town from where the shed was found.

Sorry, no offense, but that's not a huge 6pt, our deer down here in SE Ohio aren't that much different in size, and that's a medium to small 6 from what I am used to. But the avatar made him look like a 5pt. A very decieving picture if he's really of respectable size.

just the head makes him look small, here's the whole pic

6point052.jpg

he's bigger than he looks, we think this a much older buck, either way I've never seen a 6 point frame like this in our area before. Or stickers this long for that matter.

My avator does make him look like a yearling though, doesn't it?

This photo was taken from the same spot, it'll give you a better idea of how big he is, this 4 point is closer to that shed than the bigger buck is :

I didn't even know the deer was in the area, I didn't get these photos developed until well after the season ended. I had seen that little 4 point before, but never this guy, the photo was taken in mid-October only 40 yards from the stand where I had been bowhunting, but I never saw a buck while hunting it.

Some guys that hunt behind me saw this photo as well, they had never seen the deer either, I'm figuring this guy is mostly nocturnal, anyway I named him "Stickers" for the sticker point coming out the base there, I just hope I can find his sheds or some sign he made it through the season :)
