I stopped by my honeyhole today just to glass the wheat field and spotted this match shed on the edge and one little one while I was walking out. The cool part was bedded right behind the match shed were five more bucks with both sides still. I can't wait to go back in in three weeks and walk the bedding area. This place has deer that never get hunted the land owner is a woman who lets no one hunt at all except me for sheds, lucky me.

Great! Nice to see another journal! Don't apologise to me, Deeshed was the guy that started the idea, and I copied him.

It just makes sense, and it's a great way to track eachother's shed seasons, with out going through a whole bunch of posts.

Congrats on the find!

That field looks nasty! I wouldn't want to be walking out there for too long.

Went out again today. This time was the first with my puppy. Not ten minutes into the walk I found this nice 4 point and that was it for the day. I just wish my pup would've found it first. I still haven't walked any of the timber yet at this spot I'm waiting a few more weeks I really don't want to bump a big one before he has lost his crown.

Thats a great looking 4 point! Your doing the right thing by waiting a bit before goin into the bedding area. Searching the food sources, during late morning/early afternoon has payed off for me so far.

You don't stress out the deer that way, and helps em stick around longer - more antlers to be found later.

This is a shed my little brother found from the road. he said it wasn't ten yards from the ditch. It scores 88 inches. The two extra main beams help they added 26 inches.

What county you in Fire? I grew up in Comanche. I'm hoping to get back over there and do some hunting with my brother. He always finds some great sheds and I'm looking to help him out if you know what I mean.

I'm a firefighter for the city of Salina and a paramedic in training as scary as that sounds.
