I went to a buddies house 2 hours away this weekend for our annual shed huntin trip. We had a pretty good two days if you take into consideration how many we found but I'm here to tell you I have never walked as far in a weekend in my life. My middle three toes on my right foot don't even bend anymore

. I talked to a fellow shed huntin buddy last week and he said always always check the sunny side of hills and that little bit of advise got me to freshies layin ten feet apart. So IMO that is good advise check those hills.

37 for the season only 13 to go.

I took my pup out again the other day. She had another solo find in some wheat stubble and I picked up a few decent ones.

wow, lots of antlers. that pup ios doing great. i think i am gonna have to get me a shed dog. my lab couldnt care less about sheds

My little brother stopped by today and showed me a set he just found. He had a few encounters with this buck last season just couldn't close the deal. No big deal though now he can hunt him again and he has his antlers anyways. They score 163 as they are and the buck had about a six inch hook on the right eye gaurd that is gone now.

Just thought you guys might like to see these. My brother picked them up. The picture is no illusion either they gross score 196 and there are broken tines that if they would've been like the year before would have added another ten inches. Needless to say I'm really jelous.

WOW!! They are some realy great finds. I have a 160 acre farm just noth east of you in Leanordville. I will be moving to Manhattan as soon as I sell my farm here in NJ. I was just in KS for two days shed hunting found 13 and 3 skulls. Nothing real big. Keep up the nice pics and your lab is doing a great job also.

No wonder your brother didn't close the deal on that other buck he has the sheds off of.A big Congrats to your brother!!
