JNDEER,

What worked for me:
Rage 2 blade broadheads. Why? Results, huge entry wound
Garmin 60csx Why? The topo map are awesome. Acquires satellites quickly. Ran on 2 batteries for most of the week leaving it on all day.
Cabelas whitetail series boots Why? Good boots are a must. Were actually waterproof!
Primos cow call (blue, dome) Why? It stopped a bull that had just been stuck with an arrow

What didnt work:
Bow sling Why? You are not ready if your bow is in a sling
Other Cabelas boots Why? Were not actually waterpoof

Kurtish,

That's a deep fried Turkey. We ate great! With all of the miles I walked I only lost 3 pounds while I was up there. The older guy in the pic (uncle Don) came up and was our camp cook. Chilli, spaghetti, turkey, and every morning there was steak and eggs...

Yeah, I laid my knife on the entry and took a pic with my camera phone because I could not believe the opening. My Buck knife has a 5 1/2 in. blade and the entry wound was almost as big. I was nicely surprised!!

Great hunt.Nice bull. Good job on being flexible in your plans, it pays to have plan c or d figured out before x & z....

It was when I went back to plan c from plan f that I really had success. I haven't hunted everything, but I have never hunted anything like an Elk...

There you go . If you had stuck with f you might have not succeeded. Sounds to me like you are on the right track to a great hunting life. Good for you..
