Just google Elk Ivory Jewelry on the web and you'll find a bunch of folks who do some great work. It's not that expensive, all things considered, and makes a great gift for the lady (or ladies) in your life.

It's been a couple of years now since I did my last ones, but once you find a jeweler, give them a call and talk to them. If they give you the time of day to chat and discuss what you want, you're probably talking to a good one. I tried to talk to a couple who just told me to look at the website and pick the design I wanted. I didn't call them back.

Somewhere on here are a couple of threads about elk ivory jewelry and some of the work the guys have had done.

Love the idea about the copper wedding ring, would love to see that ( as well as the reaction).

My brother used a dremel tool to shape his elk ivories into a heart shaped pendant and made a necklace for his wife. She loved it. Something like that goes a long way with the wife.

A little montreal steak rub and some garlic powder, man that is some good eating there. I make necklaces out of mine.

You have a good start to a long ethical hunting life I'd say Rampage. I'd like to draw elk in my own backyard some day, but until then I'll stick to pigs in middle of week at FHL. Too many city boys for me there these days. And knowing where the elk and deer are doesn't do you much good when they cross the road....or after a long stalk a couple yahoo's in jeeps come out of closed area and jumps out and shoots the buck. Sorry. my last few times there have been less than fullfilling. And it wasn't to do with the game. Keep the good attitude. And maybe we'll run into each other, away from others...
