First find for 2006

While stashing treasures deep in the woods of northern Vermont, for a geocaching expedition with my Boy Scout Troop, I found a small tree that was recently rubbed by a moose. While checking it out, I noticed 3 tines sticking up through the fresh snow. My first find for 2006! A small 4 pt moose antler.
I had a backpack of tins filled with goodies, so I didn't have room for my camera. No "as they lay pictures"
Maybe on another trip....

Nice moose shed. I like the dark color. How many moose sheds do you have?

I don't have an exact count. I think it's around 20 or so. I'm usually good for about 5 a year. I don't get a lot of time to get out. I reserve Memorial day weekend to get out with my buddy. We have Moose around here,but the "Rodent's" really get them before anyone has a chance too..........
