Fishing near Owens River

Hey guys, do any of you know where I can take my wife fishing for 3 days near Lone Pine or Mammoth areas. Where to stay? How long of travel from Orange County? I have not been up that way for about 15 years.

Fishing near Owens...

It really depends if you want to Lake or Stream fish. For lake fishing youv'e got Convict , Crowley, Pleasant Valley Res., not to mention the Mamoth Lakes or the June Lake Loop. If it's stream your looking for, what's wrong with the Owens? All around Bishop...can't beat the scenery either. As for where to stay, Bishop has just about what ever price range your looking for. As for how long it should take you...I left from my buddies house in Orange and it took us about six hours (in the wee hours of the morning!) Hope this helps you a little...Good luck...Bleufin

I was alot younger when I went and can't remember where we were. I know we were by a powerplant bridge and we went near Lone Pine too.

surf the web read the fish reports, look up places to stay, from cabin, hotel, trailer rentals, lets say lone pine it will give you a long list of things to do in and around thair, hope this helps :welcome sign:
