I have never hunted FHL and have a question or 2.

If I mail the voucher request today and request them to hold it at the reg. window, do I need any confirmation # or anything?

What are my chances of getting this done and whatever else I need to do, since I will be heading up Friday morning?

Is there anything else I need to do?

Nevermind. I decided to hit some public areas. It seems the good FHL areas are still closed.

FYI, You have to have your conf.# in hand. The ONLY way you can hut FHL is by following the rules to the "T". Areas 29 and 30 are good areae for pigs but are limited to archery and premitive weapons. They are also walk in only areas.

Hi Pitdog,

I think the chance of having the voucher ready by Friday is a long shot. From my understanding they recommend at least two weeks. Be certain to have your vehicle registration, proof of insurance and a photo id as you'll be checked everytime you enter the base. If you have any questions send me a pm. Me and my GSP hunted FHL extensively during the quail season.
