Odd! Was going thru my sheds of this springs finds....I found a set that had shed over four miles apart...I found one two weeks ago at the town grain elevator and the other today at the creek line.....(they match perfectly)
My biggest set(two feet apart) was found in Montana in 1989.......I have them mounted on a plaque. They scored over 160..............(Whitetail) 8x9........(6 1/2 inch bases)
I've been checking in here everyday just been busy and haven't had the time to post.Wow,this last week you've been pulling in the bone.Congrats!!
How did you ever see that spike skull buried in the grass??Great eyes on that one.
The way you've been finding them lately you can't be calling it a year.Give it some more time b/c you know in a month you'll be wishing you could go out some more.
It seems the younger crowd are hitting the shed places with their ATV's and snowmobiles, instead of the traditional walking..Takes the fun out of it too.....(I'm sure its for the money too)...
Oh I'm sure I will find more, but in two weeks, things will green up and grow tall(ha ha)....I usually find shedds while I'm fishing too in the summer months..... As for the spike skull I found,it was quite easy, the sun was out and that totally white spike was a shining(ha ha)...................................Keep on shedding!!!!
Nice finds Foss. That long distance match that you found on the creekline must have dropped in a high deer usage area....It looks as though it's laying on a carpet of poo. lol Congrats and I hope you find some more before the dreaded green up
