well, my game cam had been out for probably over 2 months without my checking up on it, and today I finally got around to doing it, of course it needed new batteries as well as a new roll of film lol anyway I was walking through fields my uncle had recently plowed and planted with corn I believe, but I decided to walk through some of these fields to see if I could find any sheds on my way out, well I was almost out of the field when I looked down and saw this little piece of antler laying there, it's a piece of a main beam and a tiny part of a tine, all are broken. It's obvious this thing had been laying out there for a very very long time, it has some little cuts from being hit by the disc and plow. I couldn't find any other pieces but I'm guessing this was once part of a whole shed antler, but years out in the open in a cornfield have pretty much destroyed most of it. I wasn't even 100% sure it was antler but I took field photos (I put it back where I found it after I picked it up and took photos lol) but then I got home and showed it to my dad he agreed, I cleaned it up and compared the broken parts on it to the broken tine on my buck from this year and it left no doubt. my questioning of wheather it was really an antler or not kinda took the excitement away, but either way it's good to have this monkey off my back at last

I have to work 4 days this week, but I think next week I'll go back and look to see if I can find anymore pieces of this antler

Congrats! Looks like it would have been a decent size rack from the pics! Your right, it does look old. I found an old one this spring in a hay field. The tines were all chipped off, even with the cut of the field. There were a couple of the chipped tips laying with it. Now they will start to come for you!
