G&F HOSTING CHRONIC WASTING DISEASE MEETINGS

LARAMIE -- Hunters and others interested in chronic wasting disease, a fatal disease affecting some of the deer and elk herds in southeast Wyoming, are invited to attend a meeting of the subject hosted by the Game and Fish Department.

During a two-hour presentation, participants will be given the most current information about chronic wasting disease. Wildlife veterinarians will discuss what it is, where it is found and scientific studies related to CWD passing from one species to another.

Wildlife biologists will also discus management options concerning the disease, and participants are encouraged to ask questions.

Meetings will begin at 7 p.m. at each of the following locations. Rawlins
