Hunted a peanut farm in middle Georgia. She weighed close to 200lb and was pretty fattened up compared to other pigs I've gotten. Actually may try to cure some bacon.

Place : Milan GA
Rifle: 7MM STW 140 GR Sierra SPBT
Range: 175 yards

Where in Georgia?

Nice hog. I vacation in TN every summer and wouldn't mind getting down to GA for a hog hunt.

The peanut farm is in Milan, Ga about 3 hours from my home in Cumming.
They are not professional guides by any means. Just some "Good Ole Boy" farmers that love to chase pigs. The kid on the right is Henry Williams It's his families farm. His Dad Jeff is an avid deer hunter. Henry run's about a dozen dogs Cats, Black tongues, American Bull, and of all things an Australian Cattle dog. She is really amazing as a bay dog. They charge basically a tresspass fee of $200 for the 1st pig and $50 for each additional one. But NO Pig NO Pay.....
<
They let you hunt with whatever weapon you like and whatever style you like. Dogs are at no additional charge and no trophy fees Thats right $200 for anything from a shoalt to a big ole tusker. They have these silver grey boars down that that I've been chasing Sort of like a silverback gorilla fur.
<
I've been there 3 times. Once with dogs and a knife. That got the blood moving
<
The second time a got a 150lb boar with 3" tusk with a 44 mag S&W, and this last time this big red sow. The last two times were spot & stalk. With the peanut fields it's not too hard of a stalk. They really chow down and tear up Jeff's fields. I am still trying to get one of those silverbacks or blues as Henry calls them. They seem pretty nocturnal I just havent been too keen on running through the fields & swamps to chase one
Email me and I can send you Henry's phone number and address. They are not internet active and like I said if you go dont expect a "Pro type" guide. Dogs, 4 wheeler, pickup , swamps, and pigs is what y'all get. It's up to you to get a pig but you'll see plenty...

Grunthunter,

I know there are hogs in TN, but they want too much for a liscence and the hogs are really hard to find on public land unless you have local knowledge. All of the ranches in TN want $400-500 for a hog hunt kill or no kill. GA seems much more reasonable.
