What a joke!
They pay millions to a Newzeland hunting group to get rid of the Santa Cruz wild pigs problem!
and there's hundreds of California hunters that can't F.....ing find a decent place to hunt pigs!

Don't blame the Cal Dept of Fish & Game it has nothing to do with the pigs on Santa Cruz Island this is how the National Park Service operates doing whatever they want .Just like all of the ranching water sources they removed in the Mojave National Preserve w/o any EA's or public input that adversely effected all forms of life that had become acclimated to those water sources for over 100 yrs.

i was thinking the same thing when i saw the report on t.v. i don't know why hunting orginazations don't band together and lobby those in charge of the islands to let hunters (who'd pay for pig tags) go and take them out...saving the tax payers their hard earned cash.

Think about all the dollars the island would gain from hunters for supplies/transportation/loging etc...

Not as much as a Pebble-beach type resort.

Watch out what you wish for.
