This fall my hunting buddy and I went around to a bunch of landowners to get hunting permission in an area we had shed hunted in the spring.
On of the landowners owned a small field that we picked up 30-40 sheds that spring.
Anyway he gave us permission to hunt and just before we parted, I asked if he found any more antlers in the field, after we had been through there.
He brough us over to a pile of sheds (not all found in that field) and our jaws dropped when we saw this set lying there. They were found in te same field we shed hunted, but were under water while we we there. The landowner found them later in the summer when the low spots dried up.
As we admired them he said, you can have them if you want them? Needless to say we didn't turn them down and drove out the drivway with an armload of antlers and permission to hunt endless acres of his land!!
This set was the biggest of the bunch. I havn't scored them yet but estimate them to go in the mid to high 160's!!
