Making a trip up to Cottonwood, CA this weekend to chase some bacon and I am only bringing the "Stick & String" with me. Looks like it is going to be in the high 80's to low 90's for weather. May catch them heading for the wallows.

Yep....have some friends who lease an 8000 acre ranch for deer hunting, but it also has it's share of hogs. I only get invited to hog hunt....no deer. Deer are only for members of the lease.

well I wouldn't go that far......I've talked with alot of the clubs and ranchers.........seems the hog's have gone on vacation...........iether that or the ground squirrels have eaten them all.........I've only seen one small hog on my place this year and it was poached 2 days later.

I live on Hwy 36 near Red Bluff and Cottonwood and I've been seeing alot of hogs this last week. Almost ran into a large boar the other morning at 6:15 AM on my way to Red Bluff.

Birddawg, you and Wavesurfer put the fear into those hogs, that's why there are so many everywhere else, and none around you!

Seriously, you guys aren't seeing much down there? Seems like every time I hear about someone gone hunting, they're talking about how many pigs they're seeing.

By the way, that sucks about someone poaching that pig on your place.

well they are sure not here.........I've talked to alot of people and they all are wondering where the hogs went........hogs wild still has plenty but that ranch has always had hogs..........with the lack of rain I figured the hogs would be comming down by now.........that hog that was on my place went under the bridge and crossed onto the neighbors property.....was only a 40-60 pounder.........some guys pulled up the road,parked half in the road and jumped the fence and took off after it.........this seems to be happening alot lately......ROFLMAO..........I stuck a pic of that dead cat on the road and the sign saying free cat up in the office and the secratary just seen it........she's almost in tears..........gotta run.
