I'm going to Texas at the end of May to stick a few piggies. I need a few things. I'll need some snake chaps and a bow light, one of those things that glows blue or red and attaches to your stabilizer hole. Since I'll not likely use this stuff but once, I don't really want to buy new gear. Does anyone have an old bow light and some old snake chaps they'd be willing to sell me?

Snake chaps?

Just spat yourself up with about six layers of duct tape.

I have some snake proof gaiters that go up to your knee. $10 plus shipping if you want 'em. I paid $45 new for 'em and wore them for two days out of a three day hunt. I just didn't like wearing 'em all that much. They are in pretty good condition except for a little thread at the bottoms that wore. Shoot me an e-mail if you want 'em.

Buy a $36 SureFire flashlight (the all plastic one), it has 60 lumens and you can add colored lenses to it, then you can tape it your current stabalizer.....the one you're thinkin' of is a small AA Maglight which isn't bright enough to light up a dark bathroom.

AS, where can I find one of those? I wouldn't mind a Surefire flashilight anyway, especially if I can make it work for this application.

What I was thinking of is called a Hawg Lite. It's $50 and is made for night bow shooting. It screws in instead of your stabilizer and you can turn it on while at full draw. Pretty cool gadget, I just don't know where else I'd use it.

el vaquero, email sent. Thanks.

If you're hunting at night you probably don't need to worry about snakes. Bring some duct tape to help pull out the thorns. The G2 SureFire is great. Google it or go to Cabelas for it.

I'll be hunting in the day too. Spot and stalk in the day mostly and stands at night.

I bought some Rocky Snakeboots for a hunt in SoTX last year. I really like them and they are useful out here too. Good for stomping through nasty stuff. Not too expensive either.
