going to VAFB for some hunting

my employ schedule just tanked and if I don't get outta here "now" it won't happen for another month.

At 0830 tomorrow morning I'll be drifting into the VAFB check-in office in my trusted hunting cruiser, a dark blue BMW 2002..... then heading out (undoubtedly) into Area 4. I'm hoping to be in the field until Wednesday night.

If you see me out there and you're so inclined, don't hesitate to stop by and say hi.

After-Action Report: pigless.... again.

Hung out near the beach in Area 2 all day Saturday. Found a nice hillside from which to glass toward the surf. Great vantage point and 6 hours of glassing, saw only 2 deer.

Hunted Area 4 on Sunday. Nothing seen by me. No sign seen. No waterholes found. I heard two shots elsewhere, no idea what that meant in terms of success for someone else. Could have simply been a shot of frustration to clear the barrel.

Hot as heck up there, no surprise considering what was happening from LA to San Diego ..... good thing the Icee machine in the on-base quickie-mart was working.
