I am not an active member on this board however after spending the long weekend fishing with an very active member I felt it was appropriate to post a follow up report. He assured me that his friend Bruce who is also a board member would get a juicy vag over the report (Gary assures me of this as I do not know this Bruce he speaks of).
After enlisting Gary (bubblehide) as an unofficial guide we backpacked into an area of the Sierras that he assured me he had previously caught golden trout. Enlisting Gary as my guide to the area was very affordable costing only a breakfast burrito and enough rum to cover 2 days at camp. We covered a total of 18 miles as my gps read and it was well worth it for me to check a golden off my list. On the second day I got what I was looking for with a eight inch model that unfortunately swallowed the hook (barbless of course) and probably wasn't going to make it so I can tell you this, IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!! (Gary also kept a brown from the same day so we could supplement our dinner).
