That boy is pumped ALL THE TIME. I'd hate to have to deal with him around the house the last couple of days, though... bet the walls are all dented and there are footprints on the ceiling!
I've been trying to call him for two days. Hope he made it alright. He probably stopped in Laughlin and got liquored up, mugged, and left in the desert with nuthin but his drawers and a warm Coors Light.
He was leaving last night some time after 7pm or so, probably crashed as soon as he got there and forgot to set the clock, or is already bringin out a monster muley while scouting for his elk.
It's been really slow. We saw a super bull 10 minutes into the hunt opening morning and nada since. Too hot. The elk are not moving during daylight at all.
Hot, lots of presure, quiet and spooky bulls. Was on a good 340 class opening morning and got to about 150 yards but he was alread cow'd up and wouldn't leave 'em. The bulls have since been holed up in the think cedars and working at night.
It's getting much cooler so hopefully things will be turning for the better.
