Hey Phillip,
Just want to say have a great hunt this weekend, hope you nail a good one. What will you be using, are you going to try and get one with your bow? Again, good luck and take lots of pictures.

Mel, I'm packing the truck! I have the bow, the Hawken, and the -06, as well as the .44. I think I may as well take one with each!

I have yet to kill anything with either the bow or the Hawken, so I'm really hoping to use either (or both). But priority one is to put some meat in the freezer, so I won't mess around. I'll cap one with the -06 in a heartbeat if that's the opportunity that comes up.

Mudwalker will be along, carrying her 870 with slugs and her .270. I'm hoping to catch some video of her knocking down a big ol' oinker with that shotgun.

Birddawg, how'd you get a pheasant? Was he hiding around a corner when you shot at a quail?

FYI watched the guy on Thompson Center TV show, had a nice big muley in his sights, ready to pull back his bow, and the guy goes "This is where [Phil} wishes he would have brought his ML this morning", as the buck turns and feeds away from the hunter.

Might think about carring both out in the field.
