Goodbye Lake Sonoma Pig Hunters :’(

For the last time: Hello LS Pig Hunters!!!

Some of you already know this but today I was offered a permanent position with the US Army Corps of Engineers at The Dalles Lock & Dam in Oregon. I am scheduled to start my new job in early March. I know I’m no Roman Archer (shout out to you Nick!) or Ranger Joel, but I wanted to say goodbye to you guys. It has been my pleasure making sure you guys were always registered for the hunt on time and that all of your questions were always answered for the last 8+ years. During my interview I was asked what has been my favorite part about my current job and I didn’t even have to think about an answer to that question. I knew the answer right away. I told them my favorite part about my job has and always will be anything to do with the pig hunting season at Lake Sonoma. So thank you LS Pig Hunters for making it easy for me to love my job for all of these years. ***I’m crying… I’m such a girl!! LOL!!*** :weep-yellow:

Ok, enough mushy stuff… my bad! Well, so long LS Pig Hunters! I’m really going to miss helping you guys every season. I’ve had some awesome conversations with pig hunters over the years. Great jokes and LOTS of laughs!

Rachel my Friend thats freeking great I am glad u scored your new job adventure in Or. it sounds like it is going to be very exciting! This is weird we are both moving out of state around the same time. I have truly enjoyed are special Lake Sonoma relationship when it's pig hunting time at the lake and always looked forward to inter reacting with u on JHO and the Visitor Center. I really appreciate all that u have done for me personally during the ls hunting seasons u have been a great help and will miss your infectious smile girl! You guys really are the BEST! My new job will be indoors at a desk doing strictly office stuff for now on. The days of working with campers, pig hunters and well, any hunters for that matter will be long gone. But, I’ve had a BLAST being the only Office Clerk EVER to have anything to do with hunting at Lake Sonoma. A lot of people think I’m a Park Ranger because of what I do, but nope, I have always been an Office gal!
