Well after much searching I finally settled on the Canon i960 (best I could afford in my price range). I must say I am impressed. It does borderless printing on 4x6 or legal size paper and the quality is very impresssive also it is very fast. Another feature I like is the fact it seperate ink tanks for all the colors. This should help in cost as with other brands HP especially you run out of one color you have to buy a whole new cartridge even though you may have plenty of the other colors left (sorry that has always irked me, just a way for to make me spend more money) I printed out a 5x7 pic with my new 960 and then one with my HP930C and carried them to my wife and daughter and asked which pic looked the best to them and without hesitation both chose the Canon.

Now with that said. What Photo paper do you guys use most. I started out using the glossy and then went to the matte finish both look pretty good to me. Are there any advantage to using one over the other?

BTW, where has everyone been? This forum has been a little dead the past week or two. Everyone OK out there

I use HP premium Glossy photo paper. Tried others and always came back, the main thing is if you want high quality prints is to use the highest quality setting on the printer. I have a hp 920c and get very good prints but on high settings, it takes 5 min. to print a 8x10. If you want a super high quality, then save the picture as a tiff, that changes the pix to over 9 megs per photo, uses lots of ink but are great.

I have used Kodak Premium photo paper and HP Premium photo paper. The Kodak paper won hands down, mostly because the color just came through better. Most of the time I prefer glossy, but depends on what I'm looking for.

I have a Canon i950 and the best paper you can use is the Canon Photo Paper Pro, after that, the Office Depot Premium Paper is pretty darn good as well. Be careful with some of the other brands. Although they work wonderfully in other manufacturer's printers, the results out of the Canon are quite poor.
