Foulshot, congrats on your uncles cow, that is got to be some of the best eatin steaks he ever had.

Jesses, I did save the ivories and now I have to think of something to make them into. Any suggestions?

Huntducks, I was sooooo tired from packing that elk up the mountain , that I was hopeing a tree would fall on me and break my leg, so I would'nt have to do it pack it out. Is'nt that crazy??? But in the end it was all worth it...

Hey Nice Bull, I recently moved to Los Angeles from New Mexico. I have lots of experience hunting elk in the area. Going by your pictures you were very high up on the mountain. Since USO usaully hunts the public areas around there i think i have an idea of where you were at. Did you drive around the mountain and come up from the lowlands west of the mountain range?
Anyway, nice bull! Congrats!

Gizz,

I did pack that cape out, and it was very heavy. It was a hell of a work out.

Boman & Reuben,

I did shoot that elk on public land near the ski area. We worked from the top down and had to pack him up the mountain.

hey Hook, that is the area that i thought you were in. USO usually hunts public areas so i just put two and two together. Did you guys hear what happened to the owner of US outfitters? He was caught flying areas in a plane and then relaying info back to base camp. I haven't heard anything else.
Nice bull. It's a great feeling to harvest an elk, pack it out, then sit at home thinking about your adventure over and over.
congrats!
