Forty-five inches of snow since yesterday…

And then the sun came out… YIPPEE!!!

I know I’m not fooling anyone, it’s the all you can eat buffet that brings them around…

The more the merrier…

It’s always a good idea to wear deodorant to social gatherings…

Lunch was nice, but it’s time to get back the office…

Last one to leave is a rotten egg…

I have tomorrow off too so you’ll have to put up with me and my pictures for one more day

Very nice series Paul, Id say you couldnt do better, but then you probably will. 45" of snow, what the heck..it was in the 50's here today and dropping to the teens with chance of fluries..thats Missouri for ya.

Hideandwatch, I live in what people in up-state New York call The Snow Belt. We get lake effect snow, and we get it bad! A little while ago on the news they were saying we can expect another foot or two by tomorrow... I picked a good few days to take off from work, lol.

The roads are plowed now, the police where giving tickets to anyone caught out driving around earlier.

view out back (city woods)... edit- that's a pretty good sized tree, you can almost stand up under it.

view down the road, just past the tree's at the bottom of the hill is the reason we get so much snow... I can walk to Lake Ontario in under 10min.

Great shots clutch - Them Bluejays are such hogs.... What was your shutter speed and aperature settings on the flying shots?

Thank you Dave. My ISO was 400, aperture f/9, and shutter speed varied between 1/1250th and 1/2000th of a sec. depending on how much light I had (when the clouds covered the sun I didn't event try). After it stopped snowing yesterday we had some great light for most of the afternoon.

Here is an image from the other day when it was dark outside. I tried using an ISO speed of 1000, I think the picture looks horrible compared to the bluejays... this is the reason I try to stay with an ISO speed under 400 (I can get away with 500 to 640, but quality really goes down hill above 640).

No problem H&W, the snow is what everyone around here has been talking about... were headed for a record. I shoveled a ton of it off the roof this morning, I might have to take another week of to recover... and take more pics, lol.
