After hunting on public land for about a year and not even seeing a pig, I finally gave in and paid to hunt on private land. I wish I would have done it sooner it would have saved me lots of money and time. My pig was about 180 lbs. Now I just need to catch a deer.

Very nicely done. Where were you? From the picture, it looks like the flat part of Iraq (except for the tree).... Was that one of those dirt eating hogs? Again, congrats.

That's a HUGE MONSTER Chevy.

I wanna know how the meat tastes.

I heard that those monsters are musky tasting.

That's why I go after the smaller spotted sow's.

Congrats.

It looks like BLM land somewhere in the Central Valley.

Somewhere near 41/46 and Shandon would be my guess. Then again a lot of Cali looks pretty dry like that at the moment.

Nice boar :pig-laughing:

Congrats! Ditto to Hikingwithguns. I took my first pig in a very similar scenario.

Nice pig brother.... Its a honor to take a pig down because of how hard it is to even see one... I know like you said you took it in private land but don't ever give up on hunting pigs on public land... The pigs are there but it take a few years to figure out their patterns and movements ... But again congratulations... I just took a pig out of public land 2 days ago check out my page to view my pig from public land... This was my 14th pig from that certain location I have taken pigs out of public land so put in effort and two things could happen either you will get lucky or you will figure out their patterns even as short as one day out in the field and definitely you will have a change to have a pig with your scope aiming at it... Much respect... 7Mag PigHunter....
