These windriver Cascades are just awesome i know they are not 1000 dollar Binocs but when i compared them to a pair of Steiners i actually liked the Leupolds better. Very crisp and clear and now im ready to take them through a whole season. Now i just need A Zone to open up a little sooner

Good choice, I have a pair of individual focus that I bought around 1993, and I still love them to this day.

To improve your viewing & locating game get an adaptor for your binocs and a tripod.I enrolled in a glassing class taught by AZ Guide Duwane Adams and learned the advantages of using a tripod as it's a steady view of deer a mile or more away we were looking at Coues deer but I was at a distinct disadvantage with my 10x40 Instant Focus Leupold Binocs,on the advice of others on this forum I bought Pentax 20x60 porro prism binocs that didn't bust my budget like Zeiss or Swarovski would've.For the Glassing Class in AZ go to http://www.arizonabiggamehunting.com The class was well worth it imo.

I've used my Cascades for 5 years now and I'm completely satisfied with their performance. On a pig hunt I compared them with a set of Savorskis (sp?) I could not tell any difference, of course I'm not an optical engineer, I'm just a hunter.

I bought the Leupold Katmi based on the faith of viewing through the Cascade in the outdoor shops because they didn't stock the Katmi. I was not disappointed the quality was at the very least equal.
