Setup the feeder in my "corral". I thought it might take some time to get the hogs out when it goes off at 7 pm....I have an old cattle feeder inside that I used to support the legs on the feeder and to keep the hogs away from the spreader up top. I will have to make some adjustments on that..........

I was out at the "farm" this weekend spraying mesquite. On Sunday I went over to the feeder around 6 pm, feeder goes off at 7 pm. I carved out a blind under a cedar tree about 30 yards away. To get to the feeder the pigs have to cross about 50 yards of grass so I wanted to see what route they took. I'm thinking I have some time so I'm not paying attention and then look under the feeder and the piglets are already there. They were there a few minutes before 3 adults showed up. They did not stay long as one of the adults trotted away and they all followed. It wasn't me because they went right by me about 25 feet away and just kept slowly going. It is hot now and the pigs show up wet and muddy. I do not want to spook them away from the feeder so I am going to take my time and get one of the adults going out to the feeder. btw, I named the big piglet "baby Shaq" you can tell what one he is in the picture I took with my phone in my blind.

That is so cool Cam, those pigs look happy, they r ready for the smack down.
Use some chicken wire fencing or some barb wire maybe a way to keep the coons from getting to the feeder, they r creative when it comes to getting food they always find a way to get to it.
I am suprized u r not using those large pig traps to get those sounder groups.
The feeder set up is nice, thnx 4 sharing......tra

I plan to make a few "corrals" around this property and move the feeder from one to other. The pigs really are not doing any damage to this property, it is used for cattle grazing, so I just like to hunt them. I will keep updating,,thanks....From some new tc photos: The big guys only come in late at night. I added some corn and hour or so later the pigs showed up, you can see they had just hit a mud pit the temp was over 104.

I continue to monitor the feeder and continue to get more and more pigs. I have enough different sounders to where I can now start hunting and not scaring them all away. The pigs have even recruited some help getting the corn out....

The feeder placement ended up drawing lots of pigs but the cows loved the area and made it very hard to hunt. (the cows could not get to the corn). I finally shot a smaller juvenile pig last weekend. I just viewed the pictures from the game cam for the week after the shooting. The pigs no longer come in at 6 am or 8 pm, only late night/ early morning and the deer came in and started "pigging out". Time to move the feeder.
