I was guiding at cedarcanyon ranch last week and was set up to do a drive to get the pigs moving when before i get off the quad i here a shot . so i go to the edge of the canyon and the hunter says they got one hit and it went down then they started shooting again about then bill pulls up on his quad with the dogs so I hop on mine and make the 1.5 mile ride around and follow bills quad tracks in the snow found the parked quad and was expecting it to be over with by the time i got there far from it the dogs and the pig were raising hell as im getting up the hill i here bill shoot then i here the one dogs chase cry going they are comming my way fast so I picked a spot and about 2 seconds later one of the dogs runs by me then i get a glimce of the pig as the other dog attacks it they are fighting on the opposite side of a small black oak i come around the corner gun drawn the dogs bail out the pig charges me and i let one go and hit between the eyes and jump out of the way almost no visable effect i had a bad angle bullet exited out of bottom of jaw so here come the dogs chasing the pig they catch it again about 100 yds away i shoot it again it goes down as i walk up to it it jumps back up and takes off the dogs catch it again and again i shoot it it goes down as im reloading my pistol the dam thing gets up and it is pissed starts at me and the dogs are on it they turn it i yelled at them they stopped and bang a double lung shot i see steam blowing out its sides and its finaly over. fired 7 shots hit it 5 times 4 times in the head turns out this pig did this after getting her front leg blown off by the first shot . i will ad some pics the pig was one off the ones on the rocks
