How does the shutdown affect hunting?

Are USFS offices open for permits?

Are there even wardens out? Are wardens an "essential function"? (Side note: Lobster season is open and I have already seen/heard of many poachers out... Unethical bastards!)

Wardens work for the state (there are a few fed ones but for the most part) and as for getting permits all forest service offices will be closed except fire and Leo's

They said all the campground gates will be locked also.

Lots less Ranger traffic- All gates closed. This afternoon there was a new electronic billboard that read "all posted campgrounds closed."
I have been checking cameras all week on the Honda 70 versus walking/hiking. What took me 6 hours to do on Sunday is done in 1 hour on the trail bike.
