Great Bowhunting Trip to South Africa

It was truly the trip of a lifetime. I would recommend it highly! I took an Eland, Gemsbok, Red Hartebeest, Blesbok, 2 Warthogs and 4 Impalas. My outfitter was awesome and they are Bow only so everything was setup for the bowhunter. If you ever get the urge to go, shoot me a private message and I'll get you some details. I had always assumed that Africa was crazy expensive but its not. If you show a little self control, which I didn't, it can be very economical. I'm going to try and post a few pictures.

Here is my Eland, he was 36" with 11" bases:

Here is my best Impala. He was 25" which the PH said was awesome for SA. We did the SCI paperwork on him as they think he will be top 15 in bow records.

What was the approx. yardage of your shots? Was it all over water? What were the blinds like?

So what do you do with them after the shot? Do you eat any of them? Do you have the mounts done there or bring the capes back and have it done locally? How bad was customs?
