My buddies wife pulled the Northeastern California Elk tag. Took this big guy over the weekend. Just thought I would share the pics.

Beautiful bull. Looks really heavy. Rumor is someone shot a 430 P&Y with the north Northeast tag as well. I have a picture of it on my phone, but it is not a very good picture. Congrats to your wife.

Man that is a great bull. If I didn't want a tule elk I'd put back in for that tag!

it is not a rumor someone did kill a good bull with a bow. it is still unknown if it was shot or private or public. highest it is going to score is 408. it is more and likely going to be in the high 390s. the bull in the pics above is going to score 375 to 380. I have seen both bulls personally. also the other day a 390 was killed havent seen it but have seen pics. it is 57 inches wide with 56inch main beams. there are some toads being killed this year.its a great tag to have i was lucky to have the tag last year.i will try to post pics of the bull killed with a bow.

The bull I am referring to was killed on public land. I will start a new post with the picture I have. Because I don't want to get off the subject of the great bull killed here.

Wow, that's the bull of many lifetimes! I don't think that most hunters realize that the vast majority of elk hunters who spend many years hunting will never even SEE a bull as big as that bull, let alone have an opportunity to shoot one that size.

That lady is very fortunate. Congratulations to her.

I'll bet with that bull's symmetry and mass he will score in the low 370's. A real brute. That said, I think I like the looks of the gal even better than the elk!!

The bull in my avatar goes 351 and is pretty similar to this one, but hers has better mass, which goes a long way when you get that many circumference measurements. Her bull appears to have about a 40" inside.

Bulls like that is why I would kill for one of the N. E. Cal bull tags. Anyone know what part of the zone she got it in?
