A group of four of us tried out Bryson's self guided pig hunt a couple weeks ago. Deedy showed us around some of her properties when we arrived and there was fresh sign everywhere. That evening, the four of us were able to get two nice boars down. Both boars weighed 250+ and one had 2 1/2 teeth. It was a great start. The next morning we got 2 more pigs. A 120 pound boar and a nice sow. We hunted the rest of the trip and saw and heard pigs, but weren't able to put any more on the ground. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the skinning area and walk-in cooler were very convenient. Not only does Deedy have lots of pigs, she also plenty of deer, turkey and quail. We are all looking forward to coming back. Thanks again Deedy.

Very nice. I am seriously considering their self guided hunt. What distances were the hogs shot at? How is the terrain?

It was a $200/day trespass fee. Limit of one pig per day. One was shot around 150 yards, the rest were less than 100 yards. The meat has been excellent! The terrain was easily huntable and there was always a road nearby.

The way the success rate is going with Deedy's Bryson Hesperia Resort self-guided hunts.........it is probably one of the top 10 best deals in pay-to-hunt private land hog hunting between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The other comparable great deal is the Tejon Ranch Pig Management Hunt with the folks from JHO led by Speckmisser(Philip). Those are the top 2 among the best deals in hog hunting............and there are plenty of others with great, hard working guides.

Now I know why the pigs were so nervous in that field. Good shooting. I can't wait to get back. Thanks Deedy.

Hi Everyone- thank you for all the support & praise, we're glad to report that just about 90% of you guys are seeing & hearing pigs & about 50% of you guys are getting pigs. Which is actually very good when we take into consideration that about 50% of my guys are first time hog hunters. And just about 99.99% of you are having a real good time!

P.S. TonyS Hogs are always "skittish" when they smell you. They are hard to hunt, that's why it's one of the most challenging big game hunts. Like I tell all my guys, you've got to play the wind & learn to spot and stalk. It's the secret.

Thank you for posting the great report 3andout; Larrysogla - thank you for the kind words.

Deedy, Chris and I are looking forward to our hunt in March. We can't wait to head up and visit with you guys.

I've hunted Deedy's place several times and I have never been disappointed. It is a challenging hunt and if you listen to Deedy, you'll do well. The accomadations are far above what you'd expect for a hunting resort and the friendly staff and central eating area make for an awesome experience. In my opinion, with the price and the opportunities, this is one of the best wild pig hunts in CA.
