Just got some new pics from my game camera where I plan to hunt in a couple of weeks, some good looking hogs. Just not sure how to judge weight, I know bone mass increases a lot with bigger hogs. How much do you think this one weighs? I don't want to have to drag one too far.

FLBowhunter,

Its pretty hard to judge the size of a pig especialy when it is by itself. Ive raised pigs grownig up and also hunted lots of pigs, and one of the best ways that helps me judge how big a pig is or old is by the size of the head. An older heavier hog is gonna have a big fat head to match its body, where as a youger 80LB or so hog will have a skinnier head. I would guess at the hog in the pic to be around 160 to 180. He doesnt seem to be that long so he might be lighter.

Hard to tell from the Picture...do you know how high some of the grass is in the picture? I think about 125 lbs. A 150 lb hog will stand about 18" from ground to top of the back on average with about a 2 1/2 ft length, that I have noticed anyway.
