Guided cow elk hunt

Haven't posted in a while, but I figure I would come here for some info on cow elk hunts. I spent 2 weeks in Utah last month with a great group of hunters and ended up harvesting 2 elk. Anyways, when I got back I was talking to my 14 year old daughter about the hunt and she asked " when are you taking me elk hunting". I said " do you want to go elk hunting" and of course she replied " heck yes". She has been turkey hunting many times and has deer hunted at lake sonoma(Youth hunt- draw). My plan is to take her on a cow elk hunt next year- I would prefer a private ranch or indian reservation vs a high fenced ranch. Trying to keep the cost down( under $1500 for the hunt). Would like to hunt in Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, or Montana, so we could turn it into a mini vacation. I have searched here and on the internet and found many outfitters. Wondering if anyone can make some recommendations or has had some positive experiences with outfitters. Thanks in advance.

Jd1, have you looked into Utah's Wildlife Management Unit (WMU) cow elk hunts? The WMU hunts are on private property, if you get drawn your trespass is free, if you don't get drawn you have the option of purchasing tags directly from the land owner (they get some of the tags, and they can use them as they see fit, it's a part of the program). One of the nice things about the WMU hunts is that many of the seasons run to December 31st, and most of those lower elevations WMU ranch hunts are everything but guaranteed to hold cow elk later in the season after the snow flies. So, if you were so inclined, you could even pull off a cow elk hunt before years end.

There seems to be an ad in WON for cow elk hunts that runs $1250 if I am not mistaken. I don't know anything about the outfitter.
