I myself am partial to the Twisselman's just because I have been there and have seen plenty of hogs. I have a couple buddies that guide out there and also went to school with one of the Twisselman kids. As a matter of fact, my cousin and I are taking a trip out there over New Years weekend to see if we can't get him a hog. Might be a bit too chilly but what the hell. We'll go out anyways and just have a good time. My two cents.

Define Northern California. I dont consider Coalinga to be in the north state.

CANuCit,

I just posted a pretty good review of twisselmans in another thread ( its somewhere near the top, I started it). I am pretty partial to them as well, but have hear some good stuff about other outfits. It's just that I have hunted twisselmans 4 times this year and know it pretty well.

If I had to pay for a guided rifle hunt for pigs, I'd call Matt Rianda out of Salinas. His ranch borders mine. Email me for his contact info.

Hey Chop, just curious, why don't you do any rifle hunts?

I used to hunt hogs south of Paicines, west of Henandez Resevoir, east of the Airline Hwy. You guys any where near there?

We got 23 pigs out of 17 hunters our first time there. I got lucky and got the biggest, plus a meat sow.

(Hope the Norma didn't actuall hit you!)

He missed me but it was close enough that I quit guiding rifle hunters.

The ranch that I am running cattle on is crawling with hogs The land owner has the hunting rights leased out to North Powder Outfitters out of Cottonwood, I think they have a website. I talked to the guide and he said he has a couple hunting leases that are just as productive. I have never hunted with them since I just started working at this ranch, and I still get to hunt depredation at other places I have worked so I dont see a point in paying to hunt this one, but buy the sheer number of hogs I see on a daily basis and it seems like the hunters should have high success.
