Guided hunting

I was in a store called shoot the moon in paso robles. I picked up some non lead ammo good reasonable price. I was woundering if Cross country outfitters is doing good these days any info about the place or Hunting with august harden or Jim Leroux i think these are the guides of cc outfitters I didnt ask whats the name of there outfit. they tell me they hunt in san miguel.

August is a pretty straight up guy. He will tell you if it's worth coming out or not. I've hunted with him several times. The last time, he told me it was going to be tough and to not expect much if anything at all. It was my choice and went anyway. Didn't connect that trip, but he wasn't kidding.

He has plenty of water sources for his cattle, but feed on the property is all natural source. The properties around his do farm and my have drawn the pigs. He does have alot of land to work with.

Good shop and knowledgeable people.
This time of year it can be tough guided or not. The pigs are nocturnal and traveling to and from food or water under cover of night. They also have the barley or oats headed out, so if they put you on a spot with the food near water, intercept them on the way back to cover at first light.

I ask a couple of questions and they pretty much got me all fired up to go on a guided hunt. But i wanted to know a little more about them. Thank you for the input I would like to book a hunt with august hopefully in the future. I got to save my penny's for now.

August does alot of ride, spot, and stalk hunting. Drive to high spots to look. It does depend on what's going on. Last time I shot a pig with him, it was in October. During the summer heat he likes to hunt water holes.

Depending on water ,eggcorn or barely all makes for different hunting. I went on a couple of guided hunts with success and i payed alot of attention and its helped me out alot now. I use the same know how when im at Camp Roberts and have gotten hogs in different areas. sometimes thehogs are there. And more times there Not!
