Guides who work one on one???

I wasn't able to attend the last Pig O Rama, and I would like to get a hog before the fall. I have read up on many of the guides, but I would like to know if anyone on the board knows which guides will work with individual hunters?? I don't think I can get another buddy to go with me for Hogs, so I was looking for a short list of guides who do cater to one person hunting parties??

I am looking for a 2 day spot and stalk rifle hunt in Monterey County. I can go during mid week. Price range is $400 to $600, and I am looking to take a meat pig or a younger boar that would still be edible.

I'd call Willoughby. Especially if it's a midweek hunt I think he'd take you in a minute. Last time with him he charged 400 bills for a two day hunt. (831) 385-3003. Good luck.

I am ready to go on another hog hunt as well. I hunted with Tom Willoughby about a month ago and had a good time. He's REAL booked right now, I think he said until late July or August. His weekends are all filled up. He hunts mid week as well, so you might call him to see if he can squeeze you in. Give Frank a call from "Mustang Guide Service" (I can dig his number up if you want or you can look under guides on here and you'll find him). I have hunted numerous times with him and hes a great guy. His crew works real hard and he takes single hunters out. He charges $400 for a 2 day hunt. Not many guides these days do it for $400, most are around $450-$800... Give him a call, you wont be disappointed. I know a few other guys on here have hunted with him as well....

GH, I can't offer much help with your specific situation, although I think the guys are dead on with the recommendation to call about a mid-week hunt.

But anyway, those of you who are posting up recommendations, don't forget to add your reviews in the Guides and Outfitters review section. This is a great resource for folks like GH to find info about guides and hunts.

mike baumgartner with devils canyon guide service did on my 3 trips I like going during the week too and he was always acomadating.
