IMHO,
Up close with good ammo, a broadside standing shot, it might do it. I have heard of people even taking elk with them, but I would choose a 30 cal mag for sure dead knock down...

It'll dew if you use the right ammo (cor-bon soft point is good) and treat it like a .30-30...
