Thanks all. Finally got some hog hunting questions answered, 410 did a good job of explaining why we were able to close from 1000 yds to 100yds, a little bit of hog behaviour, what to look for. I was able to calibrate my eyes to look for hogs moving instead of deer, that was probably my biggest problem. I'm ready to go again!

Now that I have a BASIC understanding of what I'm supposed to be doing, your right, I'm anxious to go again.

What really was interesting, was butchering the hog. Its the perfect animal, nothing wasted except the oink. I cut some pork chops the size I wanted, not what the butcher decided. Awesome!
