I think we have a handful of non-JHO guests, that would probably account for the 15 or so who haven't spoken up. I also think some of those who signed up probably joined JHO just for access, and haven't posted on the list, as I don't recognize some of the names.

And I know of at least one regular JHO member who hasn't spoken up yet... in fact, I haven't seen him around in a while. Probably working for a living, or something.

I was on the north side this weekend of Tejon turkey hunting and blasting ground squirrels.

Roads are in great shape. The grass is all dead on the hills so the pigs should be easy to spot. I checked a few mudholes and the pigs are using the wallows. Not many acorns around so the pigs are eating something else. I didn't see any fresh rooting.

Supper at Los Pinos Mexican restaurant in Lebec was delicious. Frajitas and iced tea.

Sounds like your dinner alone was worth the trip up to Tejon? Glad to hear you got the chance to do a little "Pre-Hunt" scoutin' AND some huntin' to boot! I did a little scoutin' near my property Thur.-Fri., near Seligman,AZ for Elk(hope to draw this year) and saw a nice Cow Fri. evening, just as I was pullin' onto the paved road to start headin' home to Californy! Boy!, Is that a lotta meat on the hoof!
For any of you fellas that might be thinkin' of huntin' Ariz. this Fall...Big Game Apps. are due in BY June 8, I had Jeff Rogers...aka "Coues" on the JHO Site, give me some tips on good Elk Units to apply for and IF I'm successful, he's gonna do one of his famous Scouting Packages for me! And as some of you already know, he's a "Stand-Up" guy that really knows his stuff! Just ask "Buckeye" or "OneTrack" about their Deer/Javelina Hunt in Jan. I'm sure they'd be glad to repeat it again....and again, and again, and again! Hell, it probably gets BETTER with every telling! I know Midbrooks Turkey Tale does! "I" was the one takin' the pictures, the only thing that'd shoot was my camera, I had a 10-Ga. with a busted firin' pin :-( Probably shoulda' tried "Clubbin'" a bird ta' death...damn guns heavy enough! "Just" kiddin' Bill...I had a GREAT time that weekend huntin' with you and am lookin' forward to doing it again next Spring! We gotta be sure to stop in for dinner again at the Roadhouse and say "Hi" to "Bill", the Singing Bartender!!! That's all for now guys...outta wind...gotta save some up for the campfire, but I plan on listenin' a whole lot to OneTrack...(don't really have much choice)! Brent, I'm JOKING...OK? I'm JOKING!!!

Well guys, THIS IS THE WEEK!

I just got all my gear together and ready to stuff in the bag. I will finish cleaning the gun and pack her up to. Me and my buddy will pack the trailer 2marrow morning after I get off work, and be ready to leave EARLY FRIDAY.

Its gonna be good to get to meet more faces from here and start puttting the names to the stories. I bet the camp fire is going to pretty filled with great lies, (I mean true stories).

If interested lets start some side pots for biggest hog and the such, after we all pitch in a little $$ in the can for Jesse. Just a thought.

Since I have not hunted at Tejon yet, I have a basic question at to the location of the camping area we will be staying. I have pulled up the "Tejon South map", but that doesn't say where camp is. Do we go past the "dry field"? How far from Tejon Lake? Do we take the fork in the road? Does anyone have the GPS cord. for the camp? ARE WE THERE YET?

FPSCABS, The camping area is located at the fork in the road at BEAR TRAP. You can camp on the left or go right up bear trap and camp. With the size of the JHO party I think I would camp on the flats to the left. { you drive past dry field about three miles or so...}

Looks like we're dropping two from the original 50.

I think Hogskin announced already, so most of you know he's had to bail due to an injury.

One other non-JHO member also had to bail due to a family emergency. Unfortunately, both of these guys had to jump off at the last minute, so there's no opportunity to fill their spots.

Looks like almost everyone is gonna be there in plenty of time to get checked in and make the afternoon hunt!

This is gonna be awesome!

Oh, and if you guys have any questions for elkron, this might be a good time to ask. I'm sure he can't direct you to his secret stash of hogs (that's for his guided clients

), but he can probably help with general information.
