I have been in the process of putting together a photo portfolio. I was hoping you guys wouldn't mind checking it out and kicking the tires on it for me. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. There are a few specific things that I would like your opinion on. They are:

1) would you like to see captions on the photos?
2) do you like the layout? can it be improved?
3) do you encounter any problems? if so what browser are you using and what is the version. (also, what/where is the problem)

I already know that the older netscapes have alot of trouble. I am working on those issues.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Grrrrreat..I love the format and the color is perfect..easy on the eyes.

Your photos are fantastic...downloaded fast and was easy to navigate.
I use windows xp with 120g harddrive and 512mg ram.

Outstanding Album. VERY professional as are your pictures. I cannt think of anything I would Change. I see no need for captions as was stated I never noticed them not being there. navigation was easy fast and efficient.

I am Using XP PRO Browser is Internet Explorer.

Looks great to me, well layed out and very professional. The colors on all the photos were very vivid. I had no problems viewing it, and everything I tried worked well with quick response times.

Real nice layout, great pics.

I will say that the grey background and black text doesn't do much for for me. I imagine you are trying to make the photograpy your focus, but I found it difficult to read due to the lack of contrast. Maybe the same colors and a bigger font, I don't know. If I could put one together half as nice as yours I would be thrilled.

Very nice Lan-lord, No problems here. Very clean site. I like the layout. What software did you use to design it. I really like the way the thumbnails are laid out.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Like you all pointed out, the font is too dark. (or bkground is too dark). It is funny how the little things dont get noticed when trying to deploy a site.

g-hog, I didnt use any software to publish it. I have written a photo database that runs on my server which pumps out the photos, layout, thumbnails, etc.

I knew that I would have to have some sort of server side Application because I am going to end up with ALOT of photos, and did not want to keep updating html etc everytime I wanted to add photos,content, or change the layout.

Chris, the site really looks great and as always I'm amazed at your photography skills. Other than the small font color issue that you know about, it all seems great. The site loads very fast but I'm on a cable connection, so that's not suprising.lol I'm running XP and IE6 and the layout is perfect.
